Fayetteville, Georgia – March 7, 2022 – Brightmoor Healthcare Amphitheater, formerly known as Fayetteville’s Southern Ground Amphitheater, has announced several popular acts on its 2022 lineup, and there are even more surprises to be announced in the weeks to come.

Kicking off the spring season on March 26 is Kool & the Gang with support by Prince tribute band Purple Madness. Top country music acts will follow with Aaron Lewis April 2, Chris Janson April 22, Clay Walker May 21, and Scotty McCreery June 4. KC & the Sunshine Band will help wrap up the summer season on September 17.

Several more concerts will be added to the 2022 calendar, with two of those announcements coming tomorrow, March 8, and Wednesday, March 9, at 10 a.m. Tickets for both of these shows will be available starting Friday, March 11, at 10 a.m.

New for 2022, the City of Fayetteville has partnered with Georgia Radio Alliance (GRA) to provide full venue management services for the Brightmoor Healthcare Amphitheater for the 2022 concert season. The amphitheater is owned by the Fayetteville Downtown Development Authority, which works on behalf of the City of Fayetteville to promote economic development and to enhance quality of life in the community. Brightmoor Healthcare has stepped up again to serve as the venue’s title sponsor.

The City has worked with GRA over the last few years to manage the amphitheater’s sponsorship program, and after the 2021 concert season GRA proposed a more comprehensive management package for the 2022 season. Due to new sponsor agreements, guests will no longer be allowed to bring their own drinks into the venue, but they will be allowed to bring their own food.

Another feature added to this year’s concert series is more bars throughout the venue, more food options and more concession stands. Food concessions will include the Mad Mexican food truck, Shane’s Rib Shack and Semi-Sweet Cookies.

“This year, GRA will be taking on full management responsibilities,” said Fayetteville Downtown Development Director Brian Wismer. “Everyone is committed to having a great concert series this year.”

Wismer noted that the scope of the GRA contract, in addition to sponsorship marketing and concert organization, includes all ticketing and box office services, concession management, marketing, and promotion.
