The popular Shred & Recycle Day returns to City Center Park in Fayetteville on Saturday, October 14, from 9 a.m. to noon. The City of Fayetteville is offering free paper shredding, glass recycling, and electronics recycling (no TVs/monitors) in partnership with Fayetteville First United Methodist Church’s Green Team and Southern Conservation Trust’s Fayette Environmental Education Center.
Each participant may bring up to 10 small boxes or three small bags of paper for shredding. Please remove all paperclips or other non-paper material. Binders, CDs, and cardboard will not be accepted.
Glass recycling excludes ceramics, windows, and auto glass.
City Center Park is located behind Fayetteville City Hall, 210 Stonewall Avenue West, in the historic Downtown district. Participants are asked to enter City Center Park using the roadway off Stonewall Avenue (Highway 54 eastbound) between City Hall and the Fayetteville City Cemetery. Wayfinding signs will direct traffic from there.
