Spray pad will be open September weekends

spray pad open in September

Fayetteville, Georgia – August 22, 2023 – The Fayetteville Public Services Department has announced they will keep the popular spray pad at City Center Park open Saturdays and Sundays throughout September. The two-year-old feature closed after Labor Day in 2021 and 2022.

The idea to extend the spray pad season came from the City Manager’s office after many Fayetteville residents and guests said they would like to enjoy the amenity a bit longer while weather is expected to remain warm.

The remaining opening days for the spray pad for the 2023 season include August 22-27, August 29 – September 4, September 9-10, September 16-17, September 23-24, and September 30 – October 1. The spray pad will be closed Monday, August 28, for routine weekly maintenance. The spray pad will be closed for the season after October 1, and it is expected to be reopened in May 2024 on a day yet to be determined.

The other City Center Park amenities, including the playgrounds, great lawn, dog park, walking paths, and picnic pavilions, remain open year-round.
