Water & Sewer Rate Increase Notice
With the Fiscal Year 2024 Budget Adoption on July 20, 2023, to be effective August 1, 2023, The Mayor and City Council of the City of Fayetteville will increase
- The minimum water rate to $21.29, and the minimum sewer rate to $23.22 for residential customers who are not 65 years or older. Customers with a minimum bill of 2,000 gallons or less during the billing cycle will be charged $21.29 for water, $23.22 for sewer, plus any fees and taxes.
- The minimum water rate to $18.13, and the minimum sewer rate to $20.30 for senior customers who are 65 years or older. During the billing cycle, senior customers with a minimum bill of 3,000 gallons or less will be charged $18.13 for water, $20.30 for sewer, plus any fees and taxes.
- The minimum water rate to $39.08, and the minimum sewer rate to $41.94 for commercial customers. Commercial customers with a minimum bill, which is for 2,000 gallons or less, during the billing cycle, will be charged $39.08 for water, $41.94 for sewer, plus any fees and taxes.
For customers using more than 2,000 (3,000 for seniors) gallon minimum, an additional amount of $4.25 per 1,000 gallons will be charged for water, and $4.26 per 1,000 gallons will be charged for sewer. The sewer fees are billed based on water usage.
Your September 2023 billing statement will show the increase in your August water and sewer usage.
New Lockbox Address:
The City of Fayetteville has partnered with Truist Banking Services for Electronic and Wholesale Lockbox services. For Customers who pay through BillPay, your payments will be processed quicker now through the electronic lockbox services. The Electronic Lockbox service will go into effect July 24, 2023, and the Wholesale Lockbox services will go into effect on August 1, 2023.
