Fayette County voters on March 21, 2023, voted to approve a one-penny (one-percent) SPLOST, which will begin July 1, 2023, and last for six years.
Voters also approved a one-penny SPLOST in 2017, and the proceeds have been used to fund many capital projects in Fayetteville and across Fayette County. That 2017 SPLOST expires this year on June 30, and it will be replaced by the 2023 SPLOST, which means the current sales tax rate will not change.
Residents can learn more about 2017 SPLOST projects and proposed 2023 SPLOST projects on our SPLOST page: www.fayetteville-ga.gov/splost.
