Main Street Fayetteville will host the annual Christmas Parade this Saturday, December 3, 2022, beginning at 4:30 p.m. in Downtown Fayetteville. This will be immediately followed by the Miracle on Main Street event at City Center Park.
The parade will follow a new route this year. It will start and end in the Fayette County High School parking lot on Tiger Trail. The parade will proceed south on Tiger Trail to Stonewall Avenue West, where it will turn left (eastbound) and proceed to the Fayetteville City Hall entrance. The parade will turn right into the City Hall & City Center Park entrance, proceed around the park, and exit by City Hall eastbound onto Stonewall Avenue West. The parade will then proceed into the Old Courthouse Square and turn left onto Dettmering Way, left on Lanier Avenue, right onto Tiger Trail, and back to the high school parking lot.
Ample parking is available throughout Downtown Fayetteville, including at the Fayette County Government Complex. Please note, the parking areas at City Hall and City Center Park will be closed and secured by 3:30 p.m. and through 5:30 p.m., and no vehicular traffic other than parade floats will be allowed into these parking areas during this time. If the City Hall & City Center Park parking areas are full prior to 3:30 p.m., the area may be closed as soon as it is full. Personal vehicles will not be allowed to leave the City Hall & City Center Park area until after 5:30 p.m.
Additional roadways in Downtown Fayetteville will be closed prior to and during the parade.
Officers with the Fayetteville Police Department and the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office will provide security throughout the parade route.
