Fayetteville, Georgia – October 6, 2022 – Fayetteville firefighters extinguished a house fire Thursday morning on Otter Circle in the Beaverbrook Estates subdivision. The two occupants in the home escaped safely after being alerted by smoke alarms.

Firefighters were dispatched to the fire around 5 a.m., and the house was fully engulfed in flames when the first responders arrived on the scene. A neighboring home was also evacuated as a precautionary measure due to its proximity to the blaze.

The fire was contained to the one home, but the neighboring home did sustain some heat damage.

Personnel from all three Fayetteville Fire stations responded to the scene, and they were assisted by the Fayetteville Police Department and the Fayette County Department of Fire & Emergency Services. There were no reported injuries.

The Fayetteville Fire Marshal’s Office is performing a routine investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
