Every person who is involved with the sale or service of alcoholic beverages within the City of Fayetteville must first apply for and be granted an Alcoholic Beverage Handling Permit (DOC).
How to Apply
In order to apply, please bring a letter from your employer, state-issued identification, and $25 (cash/check/money order) to the Police Department lobby. An application will be provided to you upon reading and acknowledging the requirements.

Motorized Cart Ordinance (Section 82-260) to allow and provide safe guidelines for the operation of motorized carts (golf carts) within the City of Fayetteville.
Copies of the ordinance are available at the Police Department and at City Hall. The ordinance is also available on the Motorized Carts Permit and Fees page.
How to Apply
Citizens that wish to use motorized carts as alternative and/or recreational transportation must register your motorized cart Tuesday through Thursday from 8 to 11 am or 1 to 4 pm at the City of Fayetteville Police Department located at:

Requirements
Age
You must be 18 years or older to register a golf cart.
Fee
There is a $20 registration fee and the registration shall be effective until such time as the cart is transferred to a new owner. Cart users may only drive within subdivisions and authorized recreational paths.
Where You Can Operate Your Golf Cart
The City currently has three authorized recreational paths that may be used. The entire stretch of Helen Sams Parkway has a recreational path that may be used and the other two are:
- Lester Road from Cleveland Avenue Elementary School to the intersection of Lester Road and Old Norton Road; and
- Redwine Road from Longlake Approach to Lakemont Drive.
Carts may also be driven on Redwine Road from Lakemont Drive to Ramah Road, Towne Center and Summit Point once the construction of the path is complete.
