Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR)

State law requires that every general-purpose local government publish within six months of the close of each fiscal year a complete set of audited financial statements. The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report is published to fulfill that requirement.

Management assumes responsibility for the completeness and reliability of the information contained in this report based upon a comprehensive framework of internal controls established for this purpose. Since the cost of internal controls should not exceed anticipated benefits, the objective is to provide reasonable rather than an absolute assurance that the financial statements are free of any material misstatements.

The budget document provides detailed information about the City of Fayetteville’s estimated revenues and expenditures for the ensuing fiscal year. It also serves as a work plan for the city and its departments, including a framework for setting priorities, strategic initiatives, and performance measures.
