Request for Updated Customer Information
In order for the Utility Billing Office to better serve you, please take a moment to complete this form to update your account information. The Utility Billing Office currently offers paper, text and e-bills. Also, going forward we will use this information to send out notification to residents in areas of any scheduled water outages. You may complete and submit the form here.
Any account set up as a joint account will require both persons to make any change to or termination of service with the City. In the event that both persons cannot be present, a notarized affidavit must be present for the absent person.
There are many ways in which you can make payment. Payment Terms: Payments are due on or before the due date provided on the statement. Failure to receive a statement does not excuse your obligation to pay. Late Payment Penalty: Accounts not paid in full by the due date will be assessed a late payment penalty of 10% of the amount past due.
Noteworthy: Sanitation is included with your utilities if you live inside the City limits of Fayetteville. City of Fayetteville contracts with GFL.
City of Fayetteville Customer Service Department bills for its services on a monthly basis for the arrears (previous month) usage. The billing date is determined by your location within our service area. Due dates are not adjustable.
Customers have the right to dispute charges on the statement. All disputes should be submitted within 30 days of the statement date.
Accounts with a past due balance are subject to disconnection. Service will only be restored after the account is paid in full for all outstanding past due balances, including late penalties and reconnect fees ($50). The account must be paid in cash, money order, or debit/credit to restore service.
Any customer requesting services that has a previous bad debt on file with the City of Fayetteville Customer Service Department is required to pay the entire amount due on the previous account before service can be connected.
